Laser hair removal results in a permanent reduction in the number of hairs. It can only address existing hairs. The laser cannot prevent new hair from growing. Hair growth cycles are different, depending on individual factors such as: heredity, hormone imbalances, resistance to insulin, pregnancy, thyroid issues, reactions to medications and aging.
Everyone! Laser hair removal is safe for all skin types, hair types and most hair colors. It can even be used on tanned skin. The bottom line is – if you have hair where you wish you didn’t, laser hair removal performed by our experts is for you.
The level of discomfort you may feel depends on your tolerance. Some people say that the laser feels like a snap of a rubber band or a prickly sensation, while others say it feels like a gentle pinch. You could compare it getting your ears pierced – most people barely notice it, but others find it a bit more painful. However, many people find laser hair removal much less painful than waxing.
You should expect to need 8 to 12 treatments per area to maximize your Laser Hair Removal. People come in different shapes and sizes, and have different types of hair. We encourage you to take advantage of our free consultation, so that we can create a custom plan just for you. If you require more than 8 treatments, we can do any additional treatments at a discounted ‘maintenance’ or ‘touch-up’ price. Please remember that the experience of the technician plays a big part in how many treatments are needed and Laserbody M.D. is proud to offer our medical professionals who are well-trained and experienced in Laser Hair Removal.
Temporary redness is common following laser hair removal and will resolve in minutes to hours. Occasionally (but rarely) swelling or superficial blistering can occur which may cause temporary pigmentary changes such as lightening or darkening of the skin. This may last weeks but rarely longer. The risk of infection or scarring is extremely low.
Laser treatment rarely has serious side-effects—just slight irritation or hair color change, but this would depend on where you go for treatment. If you’re thinking about getting laser hair treatments, you just need to make sure you research the clinic you plan to go to. This procedure is very personal, so you only want to get it done at a clean, highly recommended clinic that’s well-known for its customer service.
Chemicals peels are a safe treatment whether you’re a first timer or a regular user. While it is strong compared to other skin treatments, the positive effects of peeling days after the treatment are dramatic.
It is not recommended that you undergo a chemical peel if you have an allergy, sensitivity to aspirin, an active skin infection or inflammation, hypersensitive skin, sunburnt skin, active acne, open wounds, are currently pregnant, have recently underwent through a chemical peel or exfoliation treatments, have recently taken or will take Accutane.
Rinse your skin gently using warm water, and pat dry using a soft cloth. Only use skin care products recommended by your doctor.
Avoid rubbing, picking, or peeling the skin as this may result in scarring. Avoid any creams that contain retinol or hydroquinone for the first week after your first peel treatment.
Avoid other facial treatments and sun exposure within two weeks after the procedure. If you must go out, wear sunscreen or a sunblocker.
The frequency of chemical peel treatments depends on your skin’s condition. Two chemical peel treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart is recommended, to be followed by maintenance treatments. 3 chemical peels every year is generally enough to maintain the clarity of your skin.
For optimal results, we recommend that you do maintenance using Vivier™ Skin Care System or Vivier™’s Skin Care System which helps you achieve softer, clearer, and even skin. This skin care system comes in five classifications each suited for your skin’s needs: normal to dry, combination to oily, adult acne, teenage and young adult acne, and hyperpigmentation.

Our medical professionals will consult with you ahead of time to advise you on the correct treatment plan for optimal results.
Each cosmetic injection treatment usually lasts 3 to 4 month. However, if you diligently follow our recommended treatment plan to optimize your results, you can extend treatments to 5 or 6 months and even lower the amount used at each visit, thereby reducing your costs while maintaining beautiful, long-lasting results.
While using cosmetic injections, you may experience slight bruising. A very small percentage of patients (fewer than 1 in 100) experience slight drooping of their upper eyelid but this can be corrected with a little time (about a week) or a prescription eye drop.
Typically described as a “small pinch”, most patients are surprised when their injection treatment is over.
Two to five treatments are ideal, each administered at four to six week intervals.
It’s important to have this discussion with the doctor after the procedure as it will determine the success of the healing process. Some of the aftercare steps you may have to take include: applying sunscreen every time you leave the house, using any topical applications prescribed, taking any oral medication indicated, etc. This is extremely important because after the procedure the skin is vulnerable to infections so utmost care must be taken during this phase of healing.

Dermal fillers are a good option for you if you want to soften the appearance of facial wrinkles, restore your facial contours and/or plump your lips.
Most dermal filler side effects are mild and short, which include but not limited to redness, tenderness, swelling, firmness, bumps/lumps, itching, bruising and discoloration. Like all skin injections, there’s a risk of infection.
There is minimal to no downtime after using dermal fillers. Most patients can return to work or any other normal activities immediately, with only slight redness or soreness in the treated area.
The facial filler procedures generally take only 15-60 minutes, depending on the area being treated.
Dermal fillers cost varies depending on several factors such as the area being treated, the specific formulation and amount being used, and the individual’s desires and body.
Cosmetic dermal filler results will be noticeable immediately after treatment and can last 6 to 12 months. Some types of facial fillers can even last for up to 2 years.

CoolSculpting can be used to treat:
Tummy pouch (pot belly)
Fat on the inner thighs
Fat on the outer thighs (saddle bags)
Fat on the flanks (muffin top)
Fat on the arms
Fatty bra line
Unwanted fat on the buttocks
Pesky fat on the knees
Double chin
Since the skin and tissues that surround the fat cells are water based, they can withstand much lower temperatures than the fat cells themselves. This allows the carefully controlled cooling device to only freeze the fat, leaving the rest of the body unharmed.
Pulling, tugging, and mild pinching sensations may be felt during your CoolSculpting procedure. You may also feel cramping, aching, stinging, tingling, and intense cold, but these side effects subside quickly as the treatment continues.
After the treatment, there may be redness, firmness, swelling, mild bruising, cramping, or tenderness. These are all temporary and should dissipate quickly, though you should contact a doctor if any of this continue after 2 weeks.
Rare side effects include freeze burn, paradoxical hyperplasia, vasovagal symptoms, subcutaneous induration, hyperpigmentation, late-onset pain, and hernias. These, however, are extremely uncommon.
Although there may be some discomfort to begin with, such as intense cold, stinging, cramping, and aching, it only lasts for about 5 to 10 minutes until the area becomes numb. After that, the Coolsculpting procedure is very comfortable, allowing the patient to read, use their laptops, or even take a nap during their treatment.
The perfect CoolSculpting candidate is someone who is close to their ideal weight, with some noticeable excess fat that they would like to get rid of. CoolSculpting isn’t a cure for obesity, although multiple treatments would result in losing more fat.
CoolSculpting treatments can vary from 30 minutes or more, but they’re generally an hour long and very comfortable. Allowing you to read, check your emails, or even take a nap while going through treatment.
Since the CoolSculpting treatments are non-surgical, there is no downtime. You will be able to go about your everyday activities as soon as your treatment is finished.
You’ll see your optimal results within 3-4 months of your treatment. It takes time for your body to get rid of destroyed fat cells, which is why it takes this long. Make sure to follow a healthy lifestyle if you want to see your results sooner!
Laser Vaginal Rejuvenation is a noninvasive alternative to surgical vaginal muscle tightening or surgical labiaplasty. Severe cases of loose and large labia or vaginal canal laxity may need permanent surgery. In most cases, laser non-surgical Vaginal Rejuvenation is all it takes to revive your feminine wellness.
Feminine Rejuvenation is totally non-surgical and painless, without any recovery period. There are no stitches, no cutting and the results can be seen and felt immediately. There is no anesthesia needed. The treatment feels like a comfortable, warm heat.
Laser Vaginal Rejuvenation treatment takes approximately 5 minutes for the Labia majora area and 5 minutes for vaginal tightening. The treatment consists of 3 treatments, one month apart for every treatment.
Your Feminine Rejuvenation results can last approximately over a year. Maintenance treatments may be needed once every 6 months to one to two years.
*Maintenance timing + results are representative of some patients. However, results + experiences are unique to each individual patient.
Patients reported feeling ‘tighter’ immediately after their Feminine Rejuvenation treatment, but this will improve more with time. With regards to vaginal dryness, the moisture starts more dramatically after two weeks. It may only be slightly improved after the first treatment and begin to present itself more significantly after the second and third treatment.
*The claims are representative of patient experiences. However, exact results + experiences are unique to each individual patient.
You cannot have the laser Feminine Rejuvenation treatment if you are pregnant, have an active urinary tract infection (UTI), have an active sexually transmitted disease (STD), have a pacemaker or recent vaginal prolapse.
There may be some slight degree of swelling immediately post treatment; however, if you have excessive swelling or any of the following signs of infection, you should contact the office immediately.

Fraxel® is a fractional laser that beyond your skin’s surface, into the deeper layers. The laser targets affected areas stimulating your skin’s natural regeneration process. This procedure can be used to treat anything from scarring, stretch marks to wrinkles.
Developed in 2001, Fraxel® has only been gaining in popularity ever since. As this treatment is non-invasive, there is very little risk for side effects. What patients may experience is temporary reddening of the skin in the treated area and possibly a tingling sensation while the treatment is being performed.
Utilizing the skin’s natural regenerative abilities, Fraxel® Skin Rejuvenation restores your youthful look so you look just like you, but better!
Fraxel® Laser Scar and Stretch Mark Removal is best suited for patients who have Melasma, Acne Scarring, Tone and Texture, Pigment / discoloration, Surgical scars.
The procedure works for both men and women and is well-suited for postpartum mothers with after-birth stretch marks.
The newer the stretch marks the better the results. Because all scars and stretch marks have the same physiological composition, the treatment can potentially reduce any type of scar tissue on the body. So whether you have a scar from an injury, or stretch marks from losing weight, this procedure will work for you.
Scar tissue, whether old or new, still has the same underlying physiological characteristics. This means once the underlying collagen cells kick in, the scar tissue will undergo rejuvenation in the same way. It may not fade as well as newer scars and may take more treatments, but we can certainly get results!
Fraxel® results are permanent. Of course this does not mean scarring and new stretch marks cannot occur again. Nevertheless, all scars and a stretch marks treated tend to go away for good.
Patients undergoing Fraxel experience some heat as the laser treatment is administered. Of course pain tolerance is subjective, but a numbing agent is applied to help with comfort, heat and prickliness.
After using Fraxel Laser Scar and Stretch Mark Removal, you may experience some soreness from the injured tissue under your skin. You will also feel a “sunburn” sensation in the affected area. These symptoms go away after a few days.
The cost of getting Fraxel will depend on what conditions you are needing to correct and how big the area is that is being treated. LaserBody M.D. offers a complimentary consultation so you and one of our experienced medical professionals can decide together exactly what you need.
We do not recommend that you use any home made scrubs such as sugar, or nut scrubs to exfoliate your face. Exfoliation refers to the removal of dead skin cells from the skin’s surface.
