Dermal Fillers

A non-surgical facial contouring treatment that replenishes volume and erases wrinkles.

everyone notices, no one knows.

About The Treatment

Dermal fillers restore your skin’s volume and erase the fine lines and wrinkles you may start seeing with age. They are also used to modify features to give you a more balanced look overall. Dermal fillers are injectable gels, made of hyaluronic acid; a natural substance found in the body that is essential to the fitness and smoothness of skin. At Laserbody MD we carry the world’s top dermal fillers Teosyal® +  Juvéderm®.

What areas?

Step 1

The target area is cleansed to reduce the risk of infection. Though anesthesia isn’t always necessary, topical (cream) anesthesia may be used to numb the treatment area. This is generally recommended for deeper wrinkles, and volume correction.

Step 2

Using a fine needle, the filler is strategically injected under the skin to fill or augment folds and wrinkles to restore volume and definition of facial features. The procedure is quick and easy, generally only taking 15 minutes. The smooth consistency of the fillers allows it to be administered smoothly and easily.

Step 3

Following the injections the treated areas will be gently massaged by your injector. This helps to smooth out contour irregularities caused by the filler and create a more even result. The pressure applied during the massage is not generally felt by the client.

Step 4

After the procedure, some injection related reactions such as pain, firmness, bumps and swelling may occur. Avoid excessive sun exposure and sensuous activities that could cause sweating. Most people do not require any time to recover. Your physician will always instruct you on how to care for your skin after treatment.

The Technology

Hyaluronic Acid and Collagen which are the base of most Dermal Fillers exist naturally in our bodies and have been used in cosmetic procedures since the 1980s! There has been ample testing as to the safety, hence why they have gained popularity in recent years.

As we age we tend to lose volume in our faces as a result. This can often manifest as hollowing out, thinning of the lips of the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.

Dermal Fillers work by boosting the skin’s supply of Hyaluronic Acid and revitalises the appearance of the skin by adding volume. Instantly diminishing the appearance of lines and wrinkles, adjusting asymmetry and redefining areas of the face. Producing a soft, natural look.

Depending on the person and the amount of injections received, the time for swelling to reduce will vary. However, given the natural component of this injection, you will be able to see immediate results after your treatment.

Each cosmetic injection generally lasts 6 to 12 months. Results will be noticeable immediately after treatment. Some treatment types can even last up to 12 years. As with any injection, your maintenance of your skin health right after treatment and throughout the time you have filler is imperative to achieving optimal results.
