Step 1

You will arrive to the clinic with the area shaved and ready, and you will be given goggles to prepare for treatment.

Step 2

Once undressed, you’ll lay down and gel will be applied to the treatment area.

Step 3

The procedure itself doesn’t take very long, depending on how big the area of treatment is. Generally it is about 15-30 minutes.

Step 4

Once the procedure is finished, you will be good to return to your daily activities with no downtime!

Most of our clients are suffering from:

  • Having unwanted hair in one or more of the treatment areas.
  • Ingrown hairs, irritation, enlarged pores and razor burn.
  • The ideal hair type is dark and coarse, but we can treat light and fine hair as well, we cannot treat white hair.

You are not currently pregnant or nursing.

You are not currently on, or plan to be on Accutane.

The process uses laser technology that uses the hair as a transmitter to the follicle. After the required amount of treatments, the follicle will be destroyed. Our clinic uses both Venus Velocity™ + Soprano ICE so we’re able to treat, fine, coarse, and perform treatments on tanned skin!

A gel is applied onto the skin to ensure an easy glide across your skin. A pair of goggles are provided to protect your eyes.

Since we have several hair growth cycles multiple treatments are required. Each session targets the active hairs that are growing through the follicle. Every laser treatment follows the hair into the follicle to target and destroy that cycle of growth permanently.

Laser hair removal results differ with each person. It can last several years or forever!  Some do need to have touch up treatments over the years due to hormonal changes and aging.

Every person is different, depending on their hair type. Generally once your sessions are completed, it can last for several years – in some cases even forever! One session will not permanently remove the hair because each hair is in a different stage of growth and the laser can only target hair that’s actively growing.  This is why multiple treatments are required, typically between 8 and 12 spaced 4-6 weeks apart.

To maintain your laser hair removal treatment results, you can manage regrowth by getting touch-up treatments every six to 12 months, depending on how fast your hair grows back. These touch-ups will keep your skin smooth and hair-free.

Frequently Asked Questions

We’ve compiled a list of frequently asked questions about Laser Hair Removal
that we receive from our clients.

Please contact us if you have more questions. We are always here for you!

Is Laser Hair Removal Permanent?

Laser hair removal results in a permanent reduction in the number of hairs. It can only address existing hairs. The laser cannot prevent new hair from growing. Hair growth cycles are different, depending on individual factors such as: heredity, hormone imbalances, resistance to insulin, pregnancy, thyroid issues, reactions to medications and aging.

Who is Laser Hair Removal for?

Everyone! Laser hair removal is safe for all skin types, hair types and most hair colors. It can even be used on tanned skin. The bottom line is – if you have hair where you wish you didn’t, laser hair removal performed by our experts is for you.

Does Laser Hair Removal hurt?

The level of discomfort you may feel depends on your tolerance. Some people say that the laser feels like a snap of a rubber band or a prickly sensation, while others say it feels like a gentle pinch. You could compare it getting your ears pierced – most people barely notice it, but others find it a bit more painful. However, many people find laser hair removal much less painful than waxing.

How long does each Laser Hair Treatment cost?

You should expect to need 8 to 12 treatments per area to maximize your Laser Hair Removal. People come in different shapes and sizes, and have different types of hair. We encourage you to take advantage of our free consultation, so that we can create a custom plan just for you. If you require more than 8 treatments, we can do any additional treatments at a discounted ‘maintenance’ or ‘touch-up’ price. Please remember that the experience of the technician plays a big part in how many treatments are needed and Laserbody M.D. is proud to offer our medical professionals who are well-trained and experienced in Laser Hair Removal.

Are there any side effects with Laser Hair Removal?

Temporary redness is common following laser hair removal and will resolve in minutes to hours. Occasionally (but rarely) swelling or superficial blistering can occur which may cause temporary pigmentary changes such as lightening or darkening of the skin. This may last weeks but rarely longer. The risk of infection or scarring is extremely low.

Is Laser Hair Removal safe?

Laser treatment rarely has serious side-effects—just slight irritation or hair color change, but this would depend on where you go for treatment. If you’re thinking about getting laser hair treatments, you just need to make sure you research the clinic you plan to go to. This procedure is very personal, so you only want to get it done at a clean, highly recommended clinic that’s well-known for its customer service.
