DIVA VAGINAL TIGHTENING
 CARE SHEET

diVa is a safe, FDA-approved, non-surgical laser feminine rejuvenation treatment that uses fractionated hybrid laser technology that uses 1470 nm non-ablative laser and 2940 nm ablative laser to create controlled zones of coagulation to chosen depths into the vaginal mucosa that stimulates neocollagenesis and fractionally vaporize (ablate) micro laser channels in the vaginal mucosal to address tone and function of the vaginal canal.

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • The diVa laser vaginal therapy treatment creates outcomes based on the aggressiveness of the treatment considering your gynecologic concerns, the health of your vaginal mucosa and your individual healing ability. Due to this, patient response can vary after a treatment. Erythema (redness) and possibly edema (swelling) are the desired responses within a few minutes after completion of the procedure. The degree of the responses and length of healing time will increase with the depth and coverage of the procedure.

  • Hybrid Fractional Laser (HFL) technology – diVa delivers two laser therapies at once for a combined synergistic effect. The first laser deeply resurfaces the layers of the vaginal wall, replacing it with brand new, healthy tissue. The second laser heats the layers of the tissue where collagen exists.
  • The single-use Strengthened Quartz Dilator (SQD) consists of a quartz tip that remains stationary to expand and flatten the vaginal tissue for a uniform treatment. As the handpiece is rotated through the treatment area, pulses are delivered through a new section of quartz to ensure laser efficiency.
  • A Pregnancy test will be conducted before each treatment.
  • A feminine and sexual health questionnaire will be completed by you at each session
  • Spotting may occur. This can last for a few hours – 12 hours depending on the treatment depth. Immediately after treatment.
  • Pinkish colored discharge may occur. This can last for a few hours – 72 hours depending on the treatment depth.
  • Immediately after treatment, swelling is common and expected. Use of a cold compress or ice pack help relieve the swelling.
  • Some patients experience sunburn or chaffed sensation for a few days. A thin layer application of Aquaphor can alleviate this sensation.
  • You may experience a slight pressure against the vaginal wall during the diVa treatment, and some patients may experience increased sensitivity near the vaginal opening.
  • diVa laser therapy is fast with minimal discomfort.
  • The diVa treatment takes approximately 10 to 15 minutes
  • This procedure consists of 3 treatments, each one month apart
  • A topical anaesthetic will be applied to increase your comfort but is not necessary
